TABLE GAMES

AMERICAN ROULETTE
Whoever invented roulette created a perfect and well-thought-out masterpiece. The construction of the gaming table in itself, its design, the distribution of the numbers, the combinations, the principle and the way in which the payment is calculated - they all bear the signs of a genius and deserve our admiration.”
(Anonymous – 17th century)

BLACK JACK
“If man were only serious and diligent, and didn’t dedicate himself to gambling, he would become crazy, weak and tired without realising it.”
King Aramis (570 – 526 BC)

After first appearing in Italy in the 13th century, this card game established itself throughout Europe in the 15th and 16th century. It was observed early enough that Black Jack could be more than just an amusing pastime.

The cards quickly became an effective means of combining the enjoyment of gambling with money.

The first gaming house soon opened, and the variety of card games was overwhelming: “Lomber”, “Rouge et Noir” and “Pikett”, as well as the all-time favourite “Pontoon”.

There were and are no limits to man’s ability to invent new card games.
